Web Services Spending:Mainframe Integration within the Service-Oriented Architecture

(September 22, 2003) - According to a study by industry analyst firm Gartner, IT budget cutbacks are forcing organizations to reduce Web services spending. After surveying 111 North American companies, Gartner reports that 48% of respondents cut spending on Web services application development projects due to the current economic climate. However, the report also shows that such projects still remain a top priority moving forward.
